Hello Humans! I'm ALIVE!!!
I can't believe it either.
Here's a picture of me and my fellow champion, Mad Sack.
My time was 2:18, and it was about half an hour faster than I was planning on.
I can't describe the feelings I had throughout the race, but it was remarkable to say the least!
Miles 1-4 I was just as happy as could be. I was literally smiling the whole time.
Mile 5-8 were wonderful, and I felt on top of the world!
Mile 9-11 my family was waiting for me, and I couldn't have been happier or more proud of myself for making it that far.
Mile 10 my bestie from high school, Jasmyn Hildebrandt was waiting with my family, and joined me for the ride for about a mile, which helped me SO MUCH!!! Thank you Jasmyn!
When I was at mile 11, my mom yelled "2 more!" and I took off. I couldn't believe I had made it that far without walking or stopping at all, and I felt so strong and wonderful.
When I was closing in on the finish, my focus was so intense, and I felt so good. Once I crossed the finish line, it was a feeling I can't describe.
I just finished a half marathon.
I hadn't even ran 8 miles before that.
